Our History
ClinPhone was founded in 1993 by Drs. Neil Rotherham and Jonathan Engler. These pioneering founders saw an opportunity to improve the clinical trial process and ultimately, accelerate drug development, by utilizing a combination of telephone and web-based solutions that would be available 24/7/365.
Both Neil and Jonathan had worked for an international pharmaceutical company and, in forming ClinPhone, wanted to establish a model of entrepreneurial success which was different from what they had encountered in their previous work experience. More importantly, they wanted to run a successful business where employees would fully embrace the vision of the company and work hard, but also enjoy coming to work and be rewarded for their dedication.
This unique blend of entrepreneurial spirit and vision, business acumen and focus on employees worked. Under Neil and Jonathan’s leadership, the foundation was laid for ClinPhone to become the world’s leading Clinical Technology Organization (CTO).
Today, ClinPhone’s products are in use by many of the world’s leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. Building upon the vision of its founders, ClinPhone’s technology is continually refined and enhanced to meet the growing needs of its customers. In addition, the Company continues to invest heavily in employee programs to maintain the fun, family-friendly environment upon which ClinPhone was originally founded.
